
Hannah Winckler-Olick
I am Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the research project ‘The Spontaneity of Freedom’ in the Department of Philosophy at University College London. I received my PhD in Philosophy from the Sage School of Philosophy at Cornell University in 2026. From August 2023 to July 2024, I was a DAAD long-term research fellow at the Karl-Jaspers-Haus at Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg. I received my BA in philosophy from the College of William and Mary.
My research focuses on normative ethics, especially in 19th and 20th century European philosophy. I am currently working on projects on moral repair, existential violence, and the relationship between communication and personal identity.
